Biography :
BROTHER BAWDEN is teaching "Teachings of the Living Prophets" this Fall. He will be teaching Doctrines of the Gospel this Spring. Brother Bawden was assistant to the area director in the S.West area adminstration, those offices have since moved to the Thatcher area. We are blessed to have him teaching here at Red Mountain on Wed evenings!

Biography :
BROTHER LEWIS is teaching Pearl of Great Price for us on Thursday evening this Fall.He will be teaching Book of Mormon 1st half this coming Spring semester. Kenneth Roland Lewis was born in Texas and was converted to the church in Heber; AZ. His parents joined a year later but his one and only sister hasn't joined yet. He graduated from Snowflake High School and served in the Korea, Pusan mission. He graduated from ASU and received a Masters degree from NAU. He and his wife, Adele Hatch, have six children, and three grandchildren. He has voluntarily jumped from three different airplanes. He likes to collect War books, old movies, and he has played paint ball for 7 years. He has been a Seminary/Institute Teacher for 30 years. He has been an EFY teacher many times and has taught at MCC, Red Mountain, and CGCC institutes; and now returns home to ASU, 30 years after graduating. Adele teaches Art History also at ASU. Bro. Lewis met and courted his wife here at the ASU Institute, you will receive extra credit in any class he teaches if you ask him about the courtship of Adele (it would be a great movie or maybe just a good sit-com).

Biography :
BROTHER MORGAN is the new director of the Mesa AZ Polytechnic Institute. He is teaching all of our day time classes including "Principals of Leadership!" He is transferring from the Mesa Institute, where he joined the faculty in the Fall of 2007. He came to Arizona from Utah Valley, where he was a seminary principal for 10 years. He has been with S + I since 1984. He resides in Gilbert with his wife Kim and 5 children. He will be teaching the Parables of Jesus and New Testament this Fall at our ASU-Mesa Polytechnic campus, 7119 E. Thistle Ave. Mesa 85212

Biography :
BROTHER NELSON is the director and also teaches all of our day time classes here at Red Mountain Institute. He is teaching a class on Wed.afternoon this SPRING entitled "Principles of Leadership" a great class for anyone as well as council members. He has been with Seminaries + Institutes sixteen years. He received his Ph.d. from Penn. State University. He enjoys reading for relaxation. He and his wife Annette have five children, four sons and a daughter. He is currently Bishop of his ward.

Biography :
BROTHER SELL will teach Book of Mormon for us on Tuesday evenings this Fall. This Spring he will be teaching the 2nd half of the Book of Mormon on again Tuesday evenings. Brother Sell comes to us from Salt Lake City. He served in the Taipei Taiwan mission. He and his wife Alisha have 3 children and Brother Sell has been teaching seminary at Westwood H.S. for 4 years now. We are happy to have Brother Sell at Red Mountain this year!

Biography :
SISTER SWEENEY will be back with us this Spring 2010 teaching Book of Mormon on Wed. evenings. Sister Sweeney is a native Arizonan. She is married to Doug Sweeney. They 5 children and one brand, new grandbaby. She loves spending time with her family. She has attended classes at University of Arizona and BYU. She loves teaching ~ especially Institute. She loves associating with the young adults. She feels their amazing spirit and recognizes their great potential. She has served as Young Woman's President, Stake YW Presidency, Relief Society Presidency and Primary Presidency. She loves to travel and has traveled extensively; from Argentina to Austria, Philadelphia to France, even to southern Mexico where she has visited proposed Book of Mormon sites.

Biography :
SISTER WHIPPLE has been a support specialist with S + I since 2006. She loves her employment here at Red Mountain Institute. She has also been serving Brother Morgan as a support specialist for ASU-Mesa Polytecnic Institute as well, all from the Red Mountain campus. Previously, Sister Whipple was at Mesa Institute and transferred here as she resides nearby. Together she and her husband Pete have seven children, three married and eleven grandchildren all of which keep them pretty busy!
