Biography :
Born in LeGrande, Oregon and raised in Hawaii, Utah, Arizona and Colorado and the oldest of ten children. He served a full-time mission in the Argentina Buenos Aires South Mission and received his Bachelors degree from BYU and his Masters degree from Utah State. Brother Bowen loves motorcycles, snow skiing, building, BYU football, and doing things with his family. He loves the youth and says that they are constantly teaching him and keep him young. He and his wife will celebrate their 28th Wedding anniversary this year. They have eight children and four grandchildren.

Biography :
Brother Buckley was born in Provo and raised in Orem, Utah. He served a full-time mission to Uruguay, South America and received his bachelors and masters degrees at BYU. He enjoys tennis, racquetball, family vacations and reading. Brother Buckley has many areas of expertise, among them he includes being a chaplain in the United States Air Force, a chaplain for the Hospice for Utah, and he has been a judge for Riverton City. He and his wife have 6 children and 8 grandchildren. To him, teaching is "the pearl of great price of any job in the whole world. . . It has always been my dream and it has been amazing to teach."

Biography :
Brother Decker has degrees from the University of Utah in Biology, Chemistry, and Japanes and served a full-time mission to Japan. At one time he worked for the University of Utah. He also has a Masters Degree from Utah State University in Range Ecology. His feelings about teaching: "I teach students, not a topic. I try to mold class discussions and follow perceived needs of class members. Through class participation, I hope to teach and to be taught by the spirit."

Biography :
Brother Durfey was raised in American Fork, Utah and served a full-time mission in the Oakland California Mission. He received both his Bachelors and Masters degrees from BYU. His wife and he have six children and he enjoys sports and history. "I love the gospel and I love the youth of the Church; and to be able to teach the youth of the church the gospel is a dream come true."

Biography :
Brother Ertel grew up in the Salt Lake Valley, graduating from the University of Utah. He served a full-time mission in the Florida Tallahassee Mission and then returned to serve as a Mission President to that same mission (2004-2007). He enjoys running and home remodel projects but he says he loves teaching youth!

Biography :
Brother Hansen enjoys motorcycles, racing, hiking, camping, welding and photography. The Gospel of Jesus Christ and trying to be what Heavenly Father wants him to be are of most importance in his life. He served a full-time mission in Duesseldorf, Germany. This is Brother Hansen's 2nd year teaching at the Jordan Institute. He feels that teaching the youth is the greatest job on the planet!

Biography :
Brother Hatch was born and raised in Burley, Idaho and went on a mission to the Alaska and British Columbia mission. He went to school at Ricks and BYU. His greatest loves ares family and family things, gardening and travel- especially to visit children and grand children. He loves the Lord and finds great pleasure in teaching the young single adults.

Biography :
Brother Jack attended BYU where he received his Bachelors degree and has a Masters degree from the University of Phoenix. He and his wife have three children. Some of his favorite things to do are golfing, fishing and running.

Biography :
Sister Larsen was born and raised in Covina, California and was educated at Citrus College in Azusa, California. She likes to read, crochet, camp and loves to teach the gospel. "It is exciting and I always learn more that I could ever teach!" This is her first year at the Jordan Institute.

Biography :
Brother Sharp received his Bachelors Degree from Utah State (go Aggies!) and recently changed directions in his career to pursue his passion for business. He was born in Murray Utah and raised in the Midvale/Union Area and his passions are The Gospel; Family; Music; Sports; Fitness; Business; + Outdoor Activities. About teaching the youth he says, "I love to teach and be taught by the youth. The young adults of the church are totally awesome and a joy to be with. It is a great privilege to have the chance to help guide the young people of the church through what Elder Hales defines as the 'decade of decision'. Helping young people build a solid anchor for their lives in the gospel brings intense satisfaction for me."
