Come to Institute

Welcome to InstituteWELCOME TO THE MESA INSTITUTE OF RELIGION! SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT THOMAS S. MONSON: "If you are a single college student, I ask you to make participation in institute a priority. Married students and other young adults are also welcome and encouraged to attend. Think of it. Friends will be made, the Spirit will be felt, and faith will be strengthened. I promise you that as you participate in institute and study the scriptures diligently, your power to avoid temptation and to receive direction of the Holy Ghost in all you do will be increased. Divine favor will attend those who humbly seek it. That is a promise which I leave with you." (May 21, 2009, www.institute.lds.org) If you are interested in a career in teaching seminary or in improving your teaching skills, contact our Pre-Service Coordinator, Brother Moon, at 480-731-4997 or register for Religion 370. • FAQ--Is it too late to register for institute?

It is NEVER to late to attend institute. If you would like to receive credit for other Church colleges (BYU) or receive credit for institute graduation, you do need to register during the first 3 weeks of the new semester.

  • New Policies to Check Out Library Books

We have some new policies regarding the checking out of library books. Everyone (even those who have previously checked books out) who wishes to check out library books will need to come to the office and fill out a form. We will use a computer in the office to check out your books, and give you a receipt. We want to stop our books from "walking away." No books will be allowed to be checked out the last 3 weeks of each semester, nor during semester breaks. There is now a limit of 2 books checked out at a time. If you have a library book checked out, please bring it back as soon as possible! Thank you.
