Come to Institute

The Institute is located next to Northwest College in Powell Wyoming and offers classes during the college year on Monday through Thursday with a forum on Friday. The forum includes a luncheon. There is also a large student ward. The students engage in fun and uplifting activities throughout the week and often get together on week-ends. Welcome and come and get acquainted!

  • Student Ward Information

    The Bishop of the Student War is Bishop Chris Taggart and he can be reached at 307-527-7751(H) or 307-272-2709(cell). His counselors are Brother Rex Bennett 307-272-8328 or Brother Warren Cox 307-272-6936. Sunday meetings are held at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel next to the Institute building. If you need housing or are looking for roomates, let us know at the Powell Institute and we can add your name to a list.

  • Friday Nights at the "Tute", FHE and Friday Forums

    -
    Friday Night at the "Tute" is a weekly activity as well as each Monday night when students meet for Family Home Evening. These activities coincide with school sessions. Parties, dances and numerous other activities are enjoyed by all. Friday Forum is held each Friday during the noon hour. A luncheon is sponsored by the LDSSA and guest speakers from the Church and community are featured.

  • CES FIRESIDES

    CES FIRESIDES WILL BE HELD ON MARCH 7 AT 6:00 PM WITH ELDER RONALD A. RASBAND AS THE SPEAKER. THE FINAL FIRESIDE FOR THIS TERM IS MAY 2 WITH PRESIDENT THOMAS S. MONSON AS THE FEATURED GUEST SPEAKER. THE 'TUTE' IS OPEN FOR ALL BROADCASTS AND ALL ARE WELCOME!!

    GENERAL CONFERENCE WILL BE HELP 3 & 4 APRIL. SESSIONS ARE AT 10:00 AM TO NOON EACH DAY AND FROM 2:00PM TO 4:00 PM EACH DAY. PRIESTHOOD SESSION IS ON SATURDAY EVENING AND THE 'TUTE' WILL BE OPEN FOR ALL MEETINGS.
