Welcome to InstituteSandy Institute is the "Gathering Place" FOR ALL STUDENTS + YOUNG SINGLE ADULTS AGES 18-30, in the south east portion of the Salt Lake Valley. We have insightful teachers who provide spiritual nourishment and our activities are a great place to mingle with other singles who share your standards. We have many day and night classes for you to choose. We have a choir for Sandy Institute and we need your voice. There will be classes to help the future missionary, those interested in having a better understanding of scripture and the words of the living prophets. We also have a great forum on Wednesday evening with various speakers. Be sure to come at 8:30-9:30 pm to enjoy this class with a munch and mingle afterwards. You can register for a class at any time. Register online now. There is no cost. Our instructors this spring semester will be Bro. Osborne, Bro. Casaday, Bro. Anderson, Bro. Barrus, Bro. Reid, Sis. Coulam, Sis. Strong (special needs), Bro. Decker (choir), Bro. Becerra, Bro. Perri, Sis. Clark, Bro. Fisher, Bro. Svedin, Sis. Jensen, Sis Bruse, Sis. White. Adults 31 and older are invited to attend BYU Continuing Education classes held throughout the Salt Lake Valley.   • Nov. 18 Pres. Curtis Dahl

    November 18, 2009 - 8:30 pm
    Curt Dahl is Vice-President/Senior Creative Director at Bonneville Communications. Early in his career at Bonneville, Curt and Michael McLean, worked together to write and produce five well-known church video's; "Our Heavenly Father's Plan", "Together Forever", "What is Real?", "Labor of Love", and "The Prodigal Son." For the past 25 years Curt has also been involved in the creation of hundreds of commercials for the Church's "Homefront" campaign on families. Curt's work has also been seen in commercials for Major League Baseball, The American Cancer Association, The Children's Miracle Network, The Utah Jazz, St. George Bank of Australia, and the Foundation for a Better Life. He has received many awards for his work including the Bronze Lion from the Cannes Film Festival, Best Copywriter from the United States Commercials Festival, Best National Television Campaign from the American Advertising Federation and The Grand Award from The International Radio Festival of New York. His work has been twice nominated for a National Emmy Award and he has won the prestigious "Clio" Award. A Church "Homefront" spot he wrote and produced titled "Waterfight" was named by Random House as one of the 100 best commercials of all time.

  • Nov. 11-Dec. 2 Service Project

    Nov. 11-Dec. 2 -
    We will be collecting items bought from the ornaments on our Angel Tree. Remember, don't wrap the gift and please if you can have a gift receipt. Please put the ornament you bought for hooked onto the present you bought. All gifts need to be in by Wednesday, December 2nd. You can give the gifts to Sandy Institute anytime during the month of November also.

  • Nov. 13th Relationship Seminar

    We have a great Relationship Seminar. They start at 7:00pm here at the Sandy Institute (9501 S. Poppy Lane (945 East). Please note that this is a different place than where the other Seminar's were held. Students and spouses are invited to come and have dinner, enjoy friends, and learn to strengthen your relationship. See you then!

  • Dec. 2nd-Christmas Time

    December 2, 2009 - 8:30 pm
    Remember your "Angel Tree" gifts need to be handed in no later than tonight. Plus come and enjoy our Christmas Program.

  • Dec. 4th Closing Social-"The Good Old Days"

    December 4, 2009 - 7:00 pm
    At the end of our fall semester we will be having a closing social on Dec. 4, 2009. "The Good Old Days" is our theme. We will be having games, food and a good time from the good old days. We are talking about the 80's, of course. Come and bring friends to enjoy a night at the Sandy Institute. It is from 7:00 - 10:30 pm.
